As Faye said, she has a ventricular septal defect. It is small (hence the very loud murmer) but is causing a bit of a problem with the aortic valve. Hopefully the problem will resolve with age but, as Faye said, rescan in a few months.

I'm assuming you know as much as we do about toilet training Gillian I normally advise clients to bring outside after a sleep, after eating/drinking, and at regular intervals throughout the day. Praise when they do - which is what you are doing anyway and dont scold for the accidents, just ignore them and clean up quietly - not always easy, I know

She's gorgeous.

One of the vets I work with has taken on a pup with similar symptoms, her heart murmur is so loud Rosie says you can hear her before you see her. She's off to Mike Martin I believe for her op.

Didnt want to butt in on Gillian, but seemign she is preoccupied at the mo with decorating and renovation of the house, I will update you!!. She took Buzz to the specialist and its better news than she was expecting, she has a tiny hole in the heart, so no need for surgery or drugs at present and they will rescan her at 6 months old. and best news the scan was free!! fab hey!

i always fall for the special ones! had a rat who i rescued who has chewed 1/4 of his tail off, he was a cutey, had two rabbits with dodgy teeth, my current dog is a runt with a hair lip! can't help myself!

I've just taken on a beautiful rex rabbit who has an ex-fix on his left hind leg - we was handed over cos his owner couldnt afford to have it fixed and i fell in love with him

Gillian, I was texing Faye earlier and gave her the name of our cardiologist over here. At that time, I wasnt sure if you had found someone, but it seems you have now.

i also worked with a cardiologist once who gave a very impressive discount when a vet brought their pet for a referral

I worked briefly with a cardiologist once, 6 months or so later, I got a great discount from him when my old dalmatian needed a heart scan.

I would imagine the fact that Gillian is already a vet, should hopefully ensure the cardiologist does give her discount.
