She sort of reminds me of my cat, Maisy.

Maisy is such an independent wee soul, she is amazing!! I only get to pick her up and cuddle her for about 20 seconds every day, and thats if I am lucky!! She is very quick to let me know when she has had enough!!

Unlike my other cats, she never comes to me (unless she is hungry) or she would never dream of coming to lie beside me in bed or anywhere!!!

But I love her just the way she is, in fact, she is my favourite!!

I had a hamster called Brian! Named him after my mums bf. He wasn't impressed! lol People names are the best! Everyone at work knows when I've named any strays that come through! We've had:

Barry (he was white :P), Jeffery, Joyce, Eileen, Brad and Lennard to name a few!

Yeah she is pretty but is still a bit feral at times, she is very much an outdoor kitty these days, think that must be the feral instinct.

But I guess she has been through a lot she was only a few weeks old when she was brought in so lucky to be here!!

Other than the ear she's fine, fit and healthy - doesn't seem 2 affect her really - as far as I know

my cat's called Kiwi (the one earred beast!!)

she was a feral kitten brought into work that had been attacked by other cats and had lost her ear and most of her skin on her side - it was touch and go with her as to whether she would pull through but 4 years later she's still going strong

PS - excuse all the rubbish in the background haha

Hello everyone!

Thanks sooo much for the names- there are some really great ones!

Hubby has decided on Brian-Cos he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy! (also hubby is avid Family Guy fan).

Brian has settled in great. Thanks to Feliway and making a big effot for all 4 cats to have their own space and feeding/litter/drinking places. He's currently curled up on my lap after a mammoth play sesh with the kitty kong fishing toy- highly reccomend them!

some of the daft ones I have had

Norman - brilliant cat but very dim

saffan and rompun - practice cats that moved practice with me

fossil - tabbycat of indeterminate age (but ancient) with ammonite like marking on his rump

Morris ( named after the Morris 1000 ie my 1000th moggie - maybe a bit of an exaggeration there!) again not overgifted with smarts - I always end up with really 'thick' cats

benson and hedges the two ginger brothers

maggot the white rex

florence

alistair

baldrick - who moved in with some friends of mine

satan - who was actually a lovely cat (and not named by me)

hudson (after paul hudson the weather man - who has moved in with another of my friends)

phoebe - after the smelly cat song on friends

Tefal - (named after the iron that dropped on this kitties head when it pulled it off the ironing board, never collected by its owner so stayed with me long enough to be rehomed with yet another of my friends. Is a bit brain damaged and tends to walk round corners that dont exist but is a happy little soul. Lives in a pub and helps itself to the drip tray)

but one of the best names to 'fit' a kitten I have heard recently was 'stewie' the kitten hand reared by my VN friend Marc - called after the pyscopathic baby on 'family guy'

2 vets I once worked with lived in the practice house, one of them rescued 2 stray kittens that were brought in to the practice to live in the house.

They named them Pen & Strep lolol!!
