sorry should have made that a bit clearer! - I meant they do their own servicing as apposed to putting you in touch with another company who does the servicing

- and yes you will be surprised how many of the 'drum 'type autoclaves are still out there - came across quite a few of the 'tardis' types when I was locumming.

We've been using Burtons for years, they've always been really helpful. I'm pretty sure they don't just do their own as we got an autoclave from another practice a little while ago. They did that for us.

The beauty of them is that they come (at a time suitable to the practice) and can do anaesthetic machine callibration and service at the same time. I have to admit tho that I don't know how much it costs.

Just as an add on, does anyone still use the tall drum autoclaves? Only recently have we upgraded to a little sister but still have 2, yes 2 drum autoclaves as back up. (Boss never throws anything away, I found a receipt from 1982 the other day)

I think Burtons may do their own? but vet direct I think will put you in touch with somebody - but at least it will give you some idea what everybody else is charging

Thanks for you replies...yes I am in the North West.....so Vet Direct & Burtons also do servicing of autoclaves...I wasnt aware of that....

have had very good service from this company in the past

merdean autoclaves - we used to have a large industrial autoclave and also a couple of benchtop versions and they used to service the lot. (used to be a chap called Phil Taylor did ours - he has probably retired now but would recommend them)

Alternatively have you tried calling Burtons or vet direct?

Hi there, we use ESCHMANN, not sure how much we pay for the servicing but I know they do the pressure testing as we have just been re-approved under the RCVS practice standards scheme

We use a guy that serviced all our autoclaves, dental machines and pump tables. Are you in the north west?
