Some will try and succeed to get away with less than minimum wage - this is because if you follow the ANA and then NVQ route this is day release to college which then makes it like an apprenticeship which is outside the confines of minimum wage. In my experience receptionists tend to start on minimum wage and a constant frustration for student nurses is that they earn less than the receptionist.... Don't forget that generally your employer will be paying your college and exam fees (but not always) and this needs to be taken into account against your salary. Don't expect minimum wage or you might be disappointed and it also depends what part of the country you live in. You might be looking at 10,000 in London/ South East - can't comment on the rest of the country and this will also depend on your age, experience etc - good luck

That's the prob with the veterianry industry there is no pay scale! Most private practices pay what they want and that inculdes us VNs too! Provided its above minimum wage..............

Just a guess but I don't think it'll be much more than minimum wage.
