I cant do it either I also have astigmatism, maybe this is why, same as you Miss VN?

I've never ever been able to see these, I'm also short sighted and wear contacts, I also have astigmatism and heard once that this makes a difference?

you wearing your contacts whilst trying to do them??? Cos if so I wonder if they are correcting your eye sight cos you have to cross your eyes to see the images

Vicky you might find it easier if you actually had the image in front of you and not on a computer screen

Kay try relaxing your eyes so everything looks blurry and then just stare at the pics for ages until you see the hidden image
