Me and my bf booked our holiday to Egypt through lowcostholidays.com and it saved us £200 each compared to thomas cook or thomson!

Watchdog type prog l saw on expedia a couple had to repay their flights as the airline did not recognise expeia hence l would never touch it.

Try Martin lewis website it has always got good reviews

i love sky scanner for flights it gives u every flight leaving that day and the price... awesome. I agree its weird but flying out with one company and back with another is always cheaper! ?Unless its a rynair airport!! I like the tip on contacting the hotels directly never thought of doing that myself!! maybe try that next year! :D

www.travelsupermarket.com I always visit there first to compare flights but then trawl the individual sites as well. depending whether you want an easy to book package or diy one, there are some lovely apartments and villas on www.ownersdirect.co.uk (which I always use) and it's often cheaper to book flights for an odd number of days if it's somewhere you can go with a budget airline. I always go to Cyprus for 8 or 9 days as it's cheaper than flying eg Mon-Mon, Tues-Tues etc. That's with easyjet though and not sure whether the mainstream companies would be the same. Also often cheaper to fly out with one company and back with another which I've done several times.

I can't suggest a webisite but can give you some hints on how to save after spending 4 yrs working for Thomson. As has already been said the best way to get your flights is on sky Scanner, you can also use first flight or sky deals. Accommodation wise if you are comfortable to contact hotels direct this is the best thing to do as you will save a fortune. Go onto a holiday site and find a couple of hotels you like then contact them direct by email/phone. Every hotel has a % of rooms that it hasn't sold to any agency's and the rates they choose are hardly anything. We went to turkey last year and booked direct with the hotel and it was only 14 euro's each a night in 4* B&B. If you can't find the direct route to contact hotel you can get them on trip advisor. booking all ours seperate we paid about £500 for 2 people for 3 days in paris, a night in bruge and 3 days in amsterdam booking it all seperate :D u gota love rynair hehe :D

Don't go to expedia we booked our holiday through them and there were alsorts of hidden charges, we thought we were getting a good deal then found out at airport we had no baggage paid for so had to pay LOADS and at the end of the booking litereally as we were pressing the button to confirm the price went up by 25%!

Depends what you are looking for but teletext holidays are quite cheap :) and again depending what you are looking for booking everything seperate can be cheaper, sky scanner is a good website for checking for cheap flights :)
