Apparently they have offered it to her...... makes me cross. Why advertise for a trainee then take on a qualified?!! had a little cry, but wine made me better...

So sorry to hear that. I was in for a job at another vets and really thought I would get it, but I didnt, was really depressed for about a day then I decided I was going to be a vet nurse if it killed me! So I persevered and it was only 2 weeks later I got offered a place in a tp. I am in voluntary just now, start college in 4 weeks block release and then at practice full time in between.

Actually I am glad now I didnt get the first one as I am very happy with the outcome I think this will just make you more determined, Good luck x

awww thats so sad, keep your chin up!

when i was stuck at goldsmiths the jewelers as my stop gap. i was there for a year and a half! Although I made good friends,was never what I wanted to do.

So after a bad day I came home and got the english and scottish (live on the border) yellow pages and wrote to every practice, within a radius. did get great replies considering the amount of letters I posted by did get 2 interviews and took one of the jobs.

Chase that training position xx

Oh TLC I am so sorry, we had an interview the same day and it looked so hopeful for you.

The trouble is that places are so hard to come by and the costs for training are prohibitive for so many practices these days.

I know it's no help at the moment, but keep looking for places, keep trying (don't forget it took me three years and I'm still not jumping for joy until the RCVS accepts my enrolment), and try to remain positive.
After all they loved your CV so it wasn't you in particular, it was circumstances (I had that with someone changing from a 1st year to a 2nd year requirement after interview).
So you are good enough to get a place, it's just that this one wasn't meant to be.

And with changes to the way training will take place, due later in the year it may mean we can expect more jobs to become available.

Oh no - that's terrible!!! I really feel for you as they've totally messed you about. I know it's hard but try not to give up. Maybe there's somewhere better out there for you.
