Hahah- reminds of when one of our collies had a tiny puncture wound and Id have been as well putting a flashing green light on my head and wailling like a siren. I was so ridiculous! The funniest part was that poor old collie wasnt bothered at all and was kinda looking at me as to say 'what on earths wrong with you?'

why are we like this? I think my vet thinks im crazy

my dog donates blood and the first time i done it she bled like crazy afterwards...............i completely freaked out runny through the practice shouting for help.

Had that been a 'normal' patient i would of applied a pressure bandage!

Hahahaha- and guess what,my old cat looked quite like sals cat! and no i would not even dare think of moving him from a chair!!

LOL- it must be a black and white cat thing - my mums cat the same complete witch!She will be sweet as pie one minute then evil next.Oh and she really hates me.

this is the kind of look Caro means - only this is quite tame for Jasper (almost friendly in fact) Caro has met him when he is right on form (remember the nail clipping from hell?)

would you ask this cat to get off your chair? or would you pick him up and remove him? I know I wouldnt !

Yeh i always get the 'why don't you use you own vets' question. erm because we only do orthpaedic refferal and i dont think our vets seen a booster vac, spay, castrate for the last 15yrs lol

i love the looks cats give people. I had a cat that had the 'why dont u wither and die' look to a tee. And it was the way she delivered the look before swishing her tail and sashaying out the door with i hate you all vibe.

I know the feeling - a vet friend visited today so we could go to a forum meeting together this afternoon. I had already explained to him on the phone on saturday i was worried about Morris abdomen and thought I could feel a mass and could he check Jasper over after his recent digestive upset and FB.

the verdict ; he was surprised I could palpate anything on the 'fat git' (Morris) and has confirmed the mass is fat. Jasper he reckons is ok as he flew past him heading in the opposite direction (Jasper can do 0 - mach 1 in a split second when he cops sight of B! - has never really forgiven him for the vaccine last year yet)

- at least they are ok

regarding notes from another practice - I once had to get histories and xrays sent for one of mine. comment was as follows

owner is a qvn working at ..... (practice just down the road) ? wonder why she doesnt use them??

haha - i had to request my animals history from a vets i used while i was out of practice...on the notes for my cats' spay it said:

'o is an ex vet nurse, demanded rapinovet ga and metacam post op'

It's funny isn't it how different you are with your own animals and how logic goes right out of the window! I got a phone call at 3am the other morning from another nurse who was worried about her dog. When i gave her advice she said..."that's exactly what i'd have said if a client had phoned me"! Bless. With other animals we are nurses, with our own we are owners!

yes i feel the same, i even was thinking (but did not say it thankfully) that i could sit up n watch this particular animal all night........................aye rational logical thoughts vanished today!
