My friend is just recovering from it and as for work we are down to 3 nurses and 1 vet we would be totally screwed if anyone got ill. We don't get paid for being off for the first 3 days so getting ill isn't an option!

Re: Swine Flu Plans

An SVN at my place has suspected swineflu, she has been given the tamiflu drugs and told to stay off work.

Being in the West Midlands a lot of local schools etc have it.

I find it a little frustrating, it is just flu!

Re: Swine Flu Plans

Will have to send the kitty out to earn money to pay for her food!!! lol

Re: Swine Flu Plans

We had a woman come in with a cat - saying it was her sisters cat and her sister couldn't bring it in as she has swine flu - so this woman was having to look after her house-bound sister, but going out and about all over the place and sitting in a full waiting room. There are about 30cases i think very close by and there is no way we are going to be able to avoid it if you have clients like this!

We are in a swine flu hotspot too. We are having some clients cancel appts, very thoughtful of them whereas others are still coming in saying they think they may have it , or members of the houshold have it!!! We have started spraying door handles and reception desk etc as a precaution but don;t think it will stop it as we are handling money, card machines etc. Just trying t do our best but members of the public not doing the same.

Re: Swine Flu Plans

I cant afford to get swine flu!
