I would still love to be a fully qualified vet nurse if i'd have been given the opportunity. But things weren't meant to be.

I need some qualifications and some career prospects or things aren't going to improve.

Shame really, as i'm going to miss the girls at work.

You go to college one day a week (9.30am-7.30pm - dear lord!), and in the 1st year you do a BTEC in Pharmacy Services and an NVQ Level 3 in the 2nd year.

No exams, and in Warrington hospital there are 6 assessors!!!

There are about 70 people working in the department, and everyone was busy when I went for a look round.

Here is a link to what the job entails http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/details/Default.aspx?Id=258

There are loads of different areas you can work in once qualified, and I think the area that sounds most interesting to me is the Radiopharmacy where you make up chemotherapy drugs, solutions used in imaging (i.e. barium meals) and feeding solutions for premature babies and people in comas.

Can you tell I'm excited?!

Re: New Job

Wow this sounds awesome!
