By the way, if any of you pseudo poms want some Pronutro or other dry SA product i can bring it over with me next month. Just NOT biltong, i could get locked up for taking that through Heathrow. No wine either, Shane has booked my alcohol allowance for international travel. Ouma rusks?

How can i go about finding out about getting some work experience there? I have been to the cheetah project in the photos, its great. I am in JHB and am willing to travel wherever to get as much work experience as possible. Got a friend in Limpopo who i could possibly stay with if need be. Any ideas how i can go about this and if it would aid my studies in any way?

Yeah, we worked with the Hoedspruit cheetah project as well because we had cheetahs on military property (air force base) such noble cats!

This is a King Cheetah - sorry the photo was dark but I couldn't use flash and it was in shade.
You can see the stripes though.

I am getting a bit of a taste of home for the next 2 weekends but even so...sighs. One day good news may come out of zim l can but dream but to be honest it is so far down the bloody toilet.

Had pronutro last few weeks l got a box at POTS and also collecting some maltabella at the braai yumm love that stuff but l found the pronutro (banana flavour) was very hard and did not absorb milk well it never used to be. Let the bloody experts near something and you just know they will stuff it up

went during my HND in Animal Management course.

Stayed at Mountain View for three days. Saw my first live leopard on my first night drive.

The owner is very knowledgeable and each evening shared the meal with us along with a profound thought for the day.

Breakfasted beside the rive, with a hippo surfacing nearby.

Lodgings were suited for us "townies" with private shower/toilet to 4 berth huts.
Native or "English" food so we had plenty of chance to acclimatise at the start of our two week trip.

WIll try to dig out some photos.

Also loved the nearby Hoedspruit Cheetah Reserve - and really want to go back one day to research the King Cheetah (which differs from the normal cheetah withthree bold stripes down its back, different shape body, and has a recessive gene which carries this coat colour).

DIdn't get the chance to go to Timbervarti White Lions which are also nearby.

Yeah, I visited there once when I lived in SA. Lovely area of the Limpopo province. Lovely work being done there.
