I already do meditation, reiki and various other therapies so am pretty clued up on what I need to do, and have actually been doing but am going back in 25mins to see the dr (this morning's was a squeezed in appt with the nurse) as still classed as "very high". Both my parents have high bp and are on medication which started in their 40's (although I'm not quite there yet!) so it may just be that no matter what I do, it will always be a risk - normal for me has always been at the high end of nornal range anyway.

The only thing I am now worried about is that the nurse suggested I take a few days off work to see whether it comes down but as we all know, there's so much stigma attached to stress (although I suppose it doesn't necessarily have to be caused by stress) but I'm worried if the dr says that too that work will think I'm not able to cope and then wonder if I'm going to be one of those people who goes on long term sick leave with stress and leaves them in the lurch. Will wait and see what she says at 10.30 I suppose.

Re: High blood pressure (human!)

pm me if you want - will get you started on some self help /relaxation to help bring it down, but def see the doc

Re: High blood pressure (human!)

If you pop your clogs can l have your tv and radio please Dippy
