I live in Bury and work at Farnworth (near Bolton). I had sparrowhawk in few months back and got him to an abosulutely fabulous wild bird sanctuary nearby which rehabilitates them and releases them if they are ok to be released. &lt;p&gt;Vale Wildlife in Tewksbury have agreed to take him thank goodness, just can&amp;#39;t get him there until tomorrow afternoon when I can drive him down after work - just finished today so that wasn&amp;#39;t an option!! Brought the little guy home as the barking dog and vocal cat weren&amp;#39;t things I thought would help!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We are starting him on the Baytril, he hasn&amp;#39;t eaten as yet but I have full grown mice to feed him donated by a kind local reptile place. Not had time at work which I feel awful about so going to donate my evening to him instead! &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He is pretty bright so I think luckily fluids should be fine.&lt;/p&gt;

I had one in Grimsby that would do this short term so long as we supplied him with treatment etc. This arrangement worked quite well, bird man used to ring us with daily reports if he had anything of ours in and would also let us know when he had released or would call us to come and release in the area it was found. Hope it does ok &lt;img src="http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/emoticons/emotion-1.gif" alt="Smile" /&gt; - have a soft spot for these, used to keep birds of prey myself.&lt;/p&gt;

Its better than injectable as their chests get REALLY bruised. However depandant on the wound you could give Baytril tabs, 15mg for these lil critters, same time scale :) &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Thank you SO much, that is brilliant. I have already stuck it in a cat carrier blocked off from everyone to try to keep it calm, it looks a little infected so we were considering sending it on with Baytril, but the rest of the advice is fab.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am not really sure what the plan is, but I can get hold of chicks if necc. Thanks again - will keep you up to speed!&lt;/p&gt;
