have you thought about sending your leaflets to pet Cremation companies???

I person don't think it is the best thing to have on display to be hoesnt, but hink they have there place somewhere in the proffession. Maybe something to have under the desk

Well, can I just say, my practice have a few different type of leaflets not on display. One of them is called 'saying goodbye', it is full of a lot of useful tips and information on coming to terms with the grieving process.

What we normally do, is give the client a little envelope with these inside, that way they can look at them in their own time. Maybe practices would be happy to stock & use your leaflets that way Jez?

In my experience, that would possibly work better as it can take some time before a client will even think of something like a memorial for their pet.

Thanks for your replies. Pretty oposing views which is what I expected.

Maybe I should try both methoids and see which is best. I have a database that has addresses as well as telephone numbers so I do have the option.

A problem you may have is that practices could be reluctant to display leaflets relating to pets' death. It could be seen as a bit morbid and potentially awkward for clients sitting in the waiting room with animals that are - to put it bluntly - likely to die soon.

Practices receive a lot of advertising material and 'junk-mail', most of which (in my case) goes straight in the bin. If there is not much in it for the practice, staff may not be willing to put in the effort of e-mailing to request your leaflets.What about giving practices a ring instead of writing? You could explain your service and ask if they would like a supply of leaflets.

Generally I think most practices would be happy to put out leaflets they are happy with and want to be associated with.

If you send a few to practices with a nice, grammatically correct covering letter then I don't think too many would be put off emailing for more - again if they are happy with the product. Good luck!
