Plan to use them in conjunction with coal. Hopefully will help cut

Re: paper bricks for burning

we have to be really careful bout our fire cos its a smoke free area so we wait till its dark to burn the smoky stuff, i dont know why its not allowed but i dont want to be cold in winter cos i cant afford smokeless coal

Re: paper bricks for burning

[quote user="sal the 1st"]

I was planning on getting as many done as I can before the bad weather hits. Have been looking into it for quite some time. I reckon my weekly newspaper tally will probably produce about 3 a week - but I also have neighbours collecting newspapers for me too - have also looked at the dry paper logs but dont think these are quite such a good use of recycled paper as they burn too quick. The bricks have a burn time of up to an hour and the logs only 20 mins. Can anybody tell me how smokey these are?

I would imagine pretty smokey depending on how dry they were and how much O2 was getting to them.
