My last piggy was 9, and my oldest bunny just 10 but then they are rescues so don't always have the best start!! We have loads of clients reckon they have dogs in their 20's but they alter how old it is each time they come, one dog gained 5 years in 1 year! I think without proof a lot of clients need to be taken with a pinch of salt.

I'm sorry to hear that TLC, he lived to a great age for a rabbit so he was definitely well cared for xx

R.I.P. Thumper, (rabbit) he had to be put to sleep yesterday after bleeding from the back end. 15 years old, and the lovelyest thing ever.

Mine live indoors in winter, outdoors in summer. In the winter dad will let the grass grown long in places so he can cut it for them to eat...from upstairs in the bedroom they can hear him cutting the grass with the shears so start yelling!!!

my last piggie did that too! she squeaked so so so much when I was emptying the shopping and the bags rustled she used to go barmy because the spinich bag rustled so she always thought she was getting spinich! she squeaked at me chopping on the chopping board as that usually meant carrots! lol oh she lived inside most of the time for her last few years.

Wow that's a fab age! Hope mine go on that long! They are such little characters, Daisy will come pottering up to you or just sit there for you to pick her up. Poppy is the cheeky one who will go to the farthest corner when you try to pick her up! Daisy is the one that starts the shouting for food, then Poppy joins in!

I have a tortoise that had been with the same owner for at least 54 years, when he rehomed it to me, and he was and adult tortoise when he found him.

I have had him and his friend for about 12 years and hope to have them for a few more years to come. Only problem is deciding who will look after them when I kick the bucket!

Thanks for that Charlotte, I am going to tell my friend about the 14 yrold bunny being the oldest!!! her Rabbit was def 15 she had had him from a baby and was utterly devastated when he died.

OK here goes, My friend had a bunny who lived to 15 yrs old, and my bunny is 10 at the moment, but still looks and acts like a 2 yr old.

2 of my dads dogs lived to 21 yrs old, one a JRT and the other a border collie

I have met a 21 year old retriever through work!!! I was amazed at how old he was, and a few 25 yr old cats

I had a gerbil who lived until he was 5 1/2....blind in one eye, had a stroke when he was 3 so walked a bit funny, wonky tail....lovely wee thing though! :)

I have had my rabbit Tabitha for about 5 years now, she was approx 1 year when I got her so who knows?

I knew a Jack Russell once that was still alive at 23 years old and the reason I saw him was because he was in a fight with another dog!!

Has to be a record!!
