I contacted Trading Standards after about 2wks who were looking into it. The parcel mysteriously arrived about ten days after that (a month after my dad's birthday!) with no explanation or apology for ignoring my emails and those from the payment company. Felt like sending it back saying it was way too late but as I felt I'd never see my money again and I actually really liked the pressie (and so did my dad, when he eventually got it), I just decided to chalk it up to experience. Company not recommended though if anyone is reading this and trhinking of buying a personally engraved item!

Hi Dippy,

I am just wondering how you faired out in the end? Did you ever get your goods?

I am in a similar situation at the moment where I cannot get in touch with the company and they are not replying to my emails. Thankfully no money had been exchanged.

Well the payment company have replied to my email today and they are now on the case on my behalf. They asked whether I wanted a refund or the goods so have said the goods would be ok for up to 2wks but if it goes beyond that, money back, so we'll see what they come up with!

this happened to me when I ordered a dress for a ball. I didnt hear anything despite several nasty emails when they hadnt turned up on time...turns out it was a man in his house doing it as a second business and he had gone away. I did get the dress, but sadly after the event I wanted it for!! but he did get in touch and I had pretty much given it up as a scam, so you never know I guess.

Not much help with going to the party with no pressie though

The contact us button bottom left works, the one on the right you probably clicked doesn't. I've been in touch with my bank and have now emailed the payment company (similar to Paypal) so will see what they come back with. What a pain! First time I've been ripped off online in years of buying stuff so done quite well I suppose!

My other half found one reference to them on a consumer website, posted in May, from someone who had placed an order and hadn't had her goods and couldn't get a reply from them at the time. No follow up so have no idea whether she ever got her stuff but my other half is going to email them in his name from work today and ask about delivery times for a large order. At least if they reply, I know they must've had my emails and are therefore playing silly wotsits. The only other possibility is that it may be someone's "on the side" business from home and they may be away but as I speciified the date I needed my order for when I placed it, and I received a confirmation which didn't look to be an automated one, it would have been nice to be told. Looks like I'm going to Birmingham with a huge apology and have to find something else now. Great. Happy 70th birthday dad!

Thanks for that. Like I say, not so bothered about getting money back in a hurry, just want the damn present, or at least to know if there's been some kind of delay so I can tell my dad it's to follow!

Could look them up online at companys house if they are a real ltd company their details will be there. If non limited could try trading standards for the area they said they are in. Would also contact paypal they may at a push be able to help although there is mixed results there.
