The vet is planning on changing the practice and wants to change it to a TP. At the moment the practice has no RCVS status, so will need to sort that

Re: Setting up a training practice

Good luck with all the paper work!
I have been looking at the paperwork for tier 2 status, and there looks to be a lot of work we need to do first, particularly paperwork, which seems they have been a bit lapse with.

At some point will have a chat with the boss man and see what things we are going to need to do, thinking its going to take longer than thought!.

I would be very greatful for any help though, so am sure will be in touch.

To add to my earlier comments, the practice I've been working with have now been told they have provisionally succeeded in attaining the teir 2 award for PSS. They just need to submit a few additional documents. If you or your practice partner want to talk to me about it just drop me a line.

Thanks

This is especially so in section 8 (Medicinal Products).

If you havent already go to the RCVS website and in the PSS download section you will find the RCVS Practice Standards Manual, its 52 pages.

here is a link

You can apply to be a training practice at the same time but it is conditional on you attaining the PSS acreditation.

hope this helps

Loubylouglad you said thats as looking like we need to change op/prep room as no set one yet, new boss was planning on doing quite soon, so hopefully we could get sorted soon as the girls are very keen to start training.

I was thinking about the tier 2 sounds like it would be simplier to do them both at same time. Iam awaiting information from a VNAC and hopefully can get started.

Never thought about the amount of work which is actually required when I did my training but am very excited about foing it and am very lucky to have a set of keen trainees
