Bloody thing, never had a problem under GA - couldn't kill it if we tried!! Keeled over at home one night! Probably a good thing all round.

Re: Do Not resuscitate

I agree Emma.

In the US I believe it is standard practice for GA forms to have a DNR section. It may just be for risky preocedures, but it is discussed.

I would like that here for GDV's etc where it is a really guarded prognosis - I hate the "money is nothing , do everything" attitude when an animal plainly would have a crap QOL of it is actually revived.

Re: Do Not resuscitate

Never had that before, but I would prefer it to one of the previous ones we had.

A Cavelier in with serious heart failure collapsed and was trying its best to die. For 40 minutes we had to continue trying to keep it alive, dog was an awful state. Just could not persuade the owner to let it go and that it was never going to be itself again.

Re: Do Not resuscitate

People will do anything regarding their pets it seems. Its concerning to me how weird some people can be in this world. I mean...they have the right to vote and everything. Eek.
