what im getting at is that I think you know when you have found your forte in life as will you and I hope whatever you do you are happy and enjoy each day. At the end of the day you are 20 years old so have lots of time to explore different career paths.

Re: possible career change = \

That's great. You've made a go of it - sometimes you just have to give things a go. Good luck to you - it all sounds very exciting and something for you to look forward to.

And may I add from reading another post of yours how refreshingly mature you are for a 20 year old.

Re: possible career change = \

lol freckle i know what you mean, and i also dont think its something you can grow into. but a goodness has come out of it as i do like lab work, dispensary and xray diagnostics so for the moment i am going to stay to see which one i like the best, all of these are offered as jobs in the RAF so i will just give it time until i can decide where my heart lyes, but like you said i want a career im happy with and im prepared to try everything to find it and im not ashamed of that, and also why not move from a job which is ok to a job i love and get paid 26k a year

thanks for your post freckle, its really made me feel more positive about my situation

i dont think ive spoken to you before, but i have read your threads. i am glad you will give working in practice a go - it is a fab, if very stressful job to do ;)

in all honestly though, and i am being brutally honest about how I feel - not about how others feel, but personally, i feel that vet nursing is either for you, or not. personally, i know it is all i have ever wanted to do, and as much as practice life brings me down at times, i know i could never be happy in another job/career.

i looked into radiography too, and even did some work experience there recently - looked into local uni's and almost actually applied. i enjoyed it, and it was interesting etc, but when i got there, all i could think, was ' i need to get my next vet boss to get a digital xray setup....'

probably unfortunatley for me, i'm all about the vet nursing, but i don't know if other people feel that way - is it a job you could 'grow into?' to my mind, no, but i am very single minded about it.

i don't want to put you off vet nursing - thats the LAST thing i want - i just wanted to try and explain my feelings on the whole career/vet nursing thing :)

to be quite honest, i think everyone should have the balls to follow that career that makes them happy, that they have a real love for.

i hope you find that career/job - the one that makes you happy to get up and go to work in the morning... (well... happy-ish... no one likes getting up to go to work! - me especially, despite all my nattering - my ideal job would be vet nursing when i feel like it LOL)
