That doesn't surprise me. I remember him as such an upbeat chap. A real pleasure to spend time with.

Oh what very sad news...He certianly was an incredible icon for the profession and I remember lots of coversations with him..Life really isn't kind , being vunrable, scammed and his poor health, no doubt not feeling he had a "place" in the veterinary world anymore...

It does make me think are we doing enough to support people from the profession who have retired.

Lots of vets/VNs have worked tirelessly for years and then suddenly they are no longer 'needed' I know my in laws and my dad felt a bit lost after they retired (not veterinary)

I know Duncan his son is struggling to deal with it all. I've not had any updates from them for the past few days.

Selena Carnell Gosh, I am so sorry to read this, he was very supportive in my early career, and such a nice chap. Makes me mad as hell to hear that he was scammed. I wonder if there is anything we can do to help.
