St Johns. That's who we have always used

Fantastic that you want to do this. You hope you never need it, but I performed CPR on a family member one boxing day, forgot most of the training but the 999 call handler and the courses I'd done over the years saw us both through

I think British Red Cross do one too.

I enrolled on a St John's Ambulance first aid course. It was a 2 day training program Saturday and Sunday. Very informative. Covered all ages of patients. Theory and practical training. After the course, I felt confident in dealing with human emergency situations. Highly recommended.

Definitely St.Johns Ambulance. I did the first aider at work course with them - really useful and comprehensive

Hi there. In Scotland you can do it through St John's Ambulance and elsewhere in the UK you can attend a course through the Red Cross. The course is usually spread over 2-3 days with assessment as part of the course to gain your certificate. Your certificate should be renewed every 3 years and be approved by the Health and Safety Executive. I have recently completed a First Aid Course through the Sandstone group...it was excellent. The course I did was based around Rural First Aid but I would have thought they do standard first aid too.
