BSAVA have just released a new Vet Nurse Merit Award in Dentistry that starts in September.

This is a non-accredited structured CPD course.

Hi Claire,

I'd suggest going and spending some time with a dental specialist as this is where you will find out what all the procedures entail. You could look at doing the NCert or VTS dentistry if you have a passion for it.

The other course I did was the ISFM Advanced Feline Dentistry for Veterinary Nurses https://portal.icatcare.org/courses/available/d677838a-7951-4ee8-af70-e6a21435a3c7

While they both cover similar topics I enjoyed both. The ISFM one is a bit more meaty but the BVNA one is only £15 for members, so great introduction.

I was lucky to work with a veterinary referral dentist, many years ago and loved it!
