Someone once sent me instructions on how to make a CPR dummy. I haven't got round to making one yet, but the disc/ball thing is meant to be a good representation of the kind of effort you need to put in the compressions.

Yes I did some open chest surgery and with the bottle inside it gives you a good range of chest depth. You can also put some old anaesthetic tubing and bags in for lungs but I found for the CPR training I was doing at work the bottle worked well to help people get a feel for compressions which is more the part people don't do.

I created one with an Ikea cuddly toy, soft drinks bottle for the compressions, I didnt do inflatable lungs but hear that isn't to difficult if that helps?
