My 15yo cat had osteosarcoma in his HL 4 years ago and we amputated. He did very well for an older man. I took him to work as his elbows were quite thickened and I was worried. They were pretty arthritic and he has been on meds

RE: Help with my cats diagnosis

Hi,

You wouldn't be bothering vetlife, that is what they're there for.

But you could also try www.bluecross.org.uk/pet-bereavement-and-pet-loss they are great, at talking and listening for end of care advise with no judgement.

I do think you need to be kinder on yourself, like you said in the earlier paragraph sampling the lesion wouldn't change what you do and if anything just cause discomfort and agitate the mass. I wouldn't of sampled it, if it was one my cat.

I do feel you should talk things through with someone and as I said above, be kind to yourself! There are people everywhere who can offer help so don't stay silent!

Take care x

RE: Help with my cats diagnosis
I’ve used VetLife in the past and essentially owe them my life so I don’t want to bother them again
Hi PaperTiger, how horrid for you. Other than talking about it here (a problem shared is a problem halved), I can't think of other resources. But perhaps more importantly, please DO NOT ever think you can't bother VetLife again. That is EXACTLY what they are there for, whenever you need them and however often you need them.

Definitely ring them whenever you feel the need.
