 Another clinic (owned by the same corporate) is apparently struggling for nurses and wants some of our staff to go over to help.

You don&amp;#39;t work for the bricks and mortar practice, you are an employee of the group. It makes sense to move staff to where they are needed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the UK you cannot claim any expenses to commute to your normal place of work. If I sent an assistant to another practice (temporarily) then generally you would be paid mileage. The only caveat is if your contract states you can work anywhere, and you are notified in advanced, then the other practice is your contracted place of work for that day. The decent thing would be to at the very least cover the additional fuel cost.&lt;/p&gt;
