Some of the corporates have locum banks you can sign up for as well. I know Vets Now definitely do as I used it recently.

Been awhile since I locummed lots but I would just put your CV out to all the practices you are interested in and see what comes back. You are more attractive if they don't have to pay an agency fee, and if you are good, you will find almost everywhere either gives you more work, tries to convince you to stay, or a mix of both.
