its a bit different for rural - where I used to work we had a safe place for leaving things. Didn't have to use it very often - usually for people who left it till last minute to order stuff and who would run out over a weekend when we were closed

here they'd be nicked n fenced - at the main surgery retrieved by someone's dog / goat / wallaby / horse / PSV

Leave drugs out. Mixed practice, always have. We have an unlocked box for this.

Very rural area so maybe not typical. How about a box with a combination padlock or similar?

During office hours we used to hand drugs over into people's hands, but when COVID came, they go on a table in the porch for people to help themselves.
