I find his methods extremely dubious and at worst dangerous .

He does say on some of his episodes, that many trainers & behaviourists do not agree with his methods, so he is well aware of the controversy that he can cause. I wonder if some of their dislike of him, stems from him not having any formal qualifications? He has, after all, done extremely well for himself & is very popular with loads of people. I watched another episode yesterday - & I like him!

American behvaiourists have already signed one petition and that was one reason why SKY dropped the dog whisperer and national geographic took him on instead, also since this new season has started his techniques have changed slightly and he does less submission actions as he did before!

I think it is a good idea to advertise a product that does generally work rather than bob martins etc

I fully agree with this. His constant statements to always interact with the dog in a calm mental state are excellent as well as his compaign to save so called 'dangerous breeds' like pit bulls, rottweilers, and german shepherds. I may not like some of his mannerisms but I do know that you can easily see that genuinly cares about the dogs he has and those he helps.

Just my personal opinion :)

I'm with you Button - I've only seen a few episodes and thought the techniques in use were quite good without the use of aggression or cruelty? I didn't know the American societies were so against him? Maybe I walk round with my head in the clouds though!
