I am still waiting to hear back on an answer for my interview. Apparently they are having trouble getting hold of one of my references. I spoke to my old place and they can't get some of the info from one of the top people.

I know the other top persons mum died the other week, so i am putting the issues down to that as they are normally brilliant.

my worry is, will the place i was interviewed by get sick of waiting?

i got three interviews from CVs kept on file and one of them turning into a job :)

Yup that's where a nurse from Thame is going. She's qualified though so can't be same job. No harm in starting there and changing later on. Good to get your foot in the door!

Its Abivale. I'm still intersted in Hamdens!! i just wanna get back into it! I suppose thats the whole point of a probation period though isnt it really? there is another girl applied, but shes got no experience so im in the running. ive asked if i canhave a trial day. if only i could pick it up and move it, lol!!

Take it! I know it's quite far away but training places are really hard to find especially around here! I know a nurse who's just accepted a job in Abingdon. Wonder if it's the same place!

i have spoken to the agency today and it is looking likely that i am going to get offered this one in Abingdon. part of me is wondering if i should take it and see haow i get on for the three month probationary period. but i don't want to waste their time if i then bugger off, cos something closer comes up. god this is so hard........

I got a job from a CV that was kept on file, so there is hope! I got a phone call one eve asking if i was still looking for a job, went for interview and got the job!

I don't know how easy it would be for you to do this because I'm assuming you currently have a job but you could always apply to do some work experience with us and then make a good impression. They took me on to do my uni placement there because they had liked me when I did my work experience and I know my boss has employed kennel assistants through asking previous work experience people who were actually interested and not just sat in the corner twiddling their thumbs.

Otherwise new building should be finished Oct time and I reckon we're gonna need more nurses because it's hectic enough as it is at times!

There is hope - I got an interview and then job from a practice who kept my cv & letter on file. I wrote to them 3 times over a year and the third time they received my letter I got a phone call from the manager saying that they liked my enthusiasm and that I was at the top of their list. 3 months later I got invited to an interview.

I'm afraid to say, that in my experience of practices, they often seem to keep cv's on file that get sent in, but never use them when a position becomes vacant. Which seems madness to me, but never mind! But, as I say, only the 4 or 5 practices I've worked at.

Hehehe, i did.... but i got a 'no space but will keep you on file letter' .... how long shall i wait until i pester again???? besides, i wanna see the new build!!!

id rather the journey into aylesbury than to abingdon where i had my interview, cost me a fortune in bloody diesel!!

actually, thats another question, when you get one of these letters, will they actually dig out your details when a position does come up? i never know whether to believe them or not......
