Oops... I would guess that neither was Veterinary Employment Services in Ringwood - they are the most professional locus agency I ever did work for. Friendly, small enough to care, but cover the whole UK. Look after the locus and the practices.

Unlike another agency which I refused a job with as I was already booked to do work somewhere, but they told the practice that I was going!!....luckily it was a practice I knew and they rang me to see why I had said no to them on the phone, but yes to working for them through a locum agency. Luckily disaster averted and my reputation was still intact but took myself off their list immediately.

I'm currently regularly locumming at my old practice. I am making more money and have no responsibilities or ties.

I left them on good terms and offered to still cover my weekend until they hired a new nurse and due to the 2nd lockdown just as I left, they haven't been able to cover me yet so I am still covering my weekend as well as some weekday shifts.

But there are also plenty of past practices that I would not go back to no matter how much money I would be making.

It's not unheard of that people have left a job and then locumed back at the same practice for significantly more money!

I had that with a recruitment company! Sent the practice my details before I left! and then sent me the job description once i had resigned ....
