Wanted to highlight the latest news (if you haven't already seen the new drop down alert at the top of the page)

I had quite a lot of material to work with this week!

My hope is that some of this stuff will spark some discussion. This week, the issues raised by the spat between the RCVS and the BVA and the BVNA are interesting, and I'd love to know what some of you make of it.

Hmm, I'm not sure a rolling news bar would help much in terms of making it snappier, because each story is so short already. But you have given me an idea .. which is that I have seen people adding clickable elements to videos (usually to subscribe) and it would be great to have a clickable link to more info for each news story. Thanks.

Yes, indeed, LOTS of future plans for this medium. Not all of which starring me!!

Failing the paper shuffle, perhaps the turning to the side and randomly talking to someone (muted) as the exit music and transition cuts in. That'll cover your news desk troupes

On a serious note, it was engaging, not weighted by thick content and wasn't too long. Thinking how people absorb info, a scrolling lower third or 'news bar' might help give the short, snappy version of each story. You could even scroll through additional info you didn't get in whilst recording. Future plans, short interviews, random Veterinary professionals opinion?

Didn't you see me shuffle them on the way in? I thought twice might be overdoing it?

What do you think of the video Ben? Don't be afraid to say if you think rubbish! Do you think it is interesting or funny enough that people will want to subscribe, or do I have to dress as the arse of a panto cow to be sufficiently attention-grabbing these days?

I used to. Especially live TV, which I had to go on a couple of times. I froze like a rabbit in the headlights. This youtubing lark is a lot easier, because I just keep doing it till I get it right!

Thanks both ... I've had some kind feedback so far, so I think I'm going to stick with it! Now working out how to integrate it properly. And probably need to invest in a better iron!
