I'm in a similar boat. Due to longterm knee, back and ankle problems I was really struggling with work especially dogs. I handed in my notice and decided to start up a mobile feline nursing and cat sitting service ... at the start of January which just happened to coincide with the still ongoing second lockdown. Thankfully my old place of work have not managed to replace me and have taken me on locum wise until I can actually start my business. I'm lucky enough that they know my limitations and they know the reasons I left so they're happy to work with me on that.

I can't wait to actually be able to give up locumming and do my own business properly and only have to deal with cats. They don't hurt my back or knees as much as dogs do.

I know it doesn't really answer your question but I just wanted to commiserate with you. I had looked at the insurance thing but they all seem to be based in England and, for some reason, don't let you do it digitally from home.

are you wanting to stay in veterinary side or move over to the dark side ? if you fancy phlebotomy try your local NHS for training. As to other sites I have started using 'indeed' which has thrown up a few interesting vacancies but you still have to weed around the agency vacancies. Mental health is a big thing at the minute and looking longer term counselling is going to be in demand. I wish you well, I am struggling somewhat at the moment and feeling pretty broken by vet nursing so also on the look out for alternatives
