I am currently part time working weekends, I had two sets ordered. (one for Saturday and one for Sunday).

In time (3 years) they have ripped/discoloured so I asked my manager for a new set and he has ordered them for me.

We are not allowed to wear our uniform in to work because of biosecurity, so they are laundered and hung up by the ACA's every day.

I think as others have mentioned it is important to look presentable so there should not be a problem with having new sets and and when you need to replace tatty ones.

I agree. Frustrating when people don't take care of things, because it is expensive to buy and brand.

We replace when needed, we all have about 3 sets but buy our own trousers which the practice then pays for. practice manager wasn't impressed when we all had new jumpers and one if the girls got bleach all over it and discoloured.

Mi jefa me compró 4 uniformes completos cuando entré como nueva enfermera en la clínica. Llevo 3 años con los mismos y están impecables. Siempre lavados debidamente y bien presentables. Puedo comprar uniforme nuevo siempre que quiera, siempre que el equipo respetemos los mismos colores para ir todos acorde.

When I first started as a trainee many, many moons ago the uniform was selected from the ex employee set of uniforms!

I was very pleasantly surprised at the weekend. I have avoided scrubs and trousers for years. Normally the only time you will catch me in anything other than skirt or dress is when I am flying. I have quite a big balcony and an expansive backside. Well I had to get some scrubs for work, avoided letting anybody else order because every single time I have ended up with a disaster of a uniform and resembling something that should be living in Cardington hangar

- so I always buy my own. Big surprise is that Cherokee do scrubs that will fit and not only that I am not the largest size by quite a long way -really made my day .But to answer the OP as I buy my own I now have a fresh uniform for every day of the week and only need to put them all through one wash load at the weekend

Sorry, but this hilariously reminds me of the time I had to rummage through the discarded but "kept just in case" bag of old tatty uniforms from former employees to find something clean to wear and ended up in a size 16 top and trouser bottoms. I'm a size 8. Orphan Annie tied up with string later at least I was more fragrant than before, if not looking rather daft!

Perhaps you should try it or something similar...maybe swap uniforms and look a bit ragbag and see the Boss"s face when you all turn up looking like an advert for Zombie Apocalypse... Also very seasonal at the moment..#halloween

New starters get 3 sets on starting. We all used to get 3 sets every year. Yes, the uniforms get tatty, we spend a lot of time wrestling big dogs on the floor. We think 1 set per year is stingy too.

With one set of uniform surely that'd mean washing it everyday! I had 2 sets initially and then bought my own so I could wear clean each day but when they were worn my employer replaced them when I needed. It reflects badly on a practice to have staff looking scruffy

No limit whatsoever. You can have as much as you need to remain smart and presentable. If it gets torn or tatty then you get new.

The only time I would get cross would be if things were getting lost or misplaced. That's not ok, you need to take care of it.
