£8/HR.......you'd get more working at aldi!

Surely you should be getting more than minimum wage given you've got a qualification and are doing a skilled job.

Its always worth negotiating with any new employer before you accept a position as if you ask for more money then the worst thing that can happen is they say no

we've just taken on a newly qualified nurse at £9.80 per hour based south west

I'm based in West Yorkshire and the average over there was for about £22000.

Well I'm struggling on my £16000 so any increase would help dramatically! Especially since saving for a house and trying to get a mortgage is so hard!

When I worked full time I was on £23k three years post qualified. It depends on your location and negotiation skills, how much you feel you could live on and what you value yourself at. On average we're under paid, so I wouldn't personally go just on that.

Depends on the area of the country you life in. I on about £24000 per year and got 5 years qualified plus 7 unqualified if that make sense.
