Hi Alison, yes I know in the CoPC it recommends us to not use the term, however the whole part of my survey is that it is actually not a protected title, and anyone can use the title! Thank you for your help though

Likely it is just the way you have worded your request so please do excuse me for being pedantic but you can't title a non-registered nurse in practice as a VN.

S/he would be classed as a lay person. You can title them as an ANA or VCA or any other title that doesn't use the term 'veterinary nurse' or 'VN'.

You used to be able to. There are probably practices that still do it. But you're not supposed to...see 19.8 in the PC
