I've been looking for these sort of jobs and entry level jobs in my area (Kent) but have been unsuccessful. The laboratory jobs seem to be up north!

The NHS have the rare medical laboratory assistant jobs going but these are also few and far between.

I have also considered this. I recently seen an ad near me for a laboratory assistant - would that be something you'd consider?

I didn't apply for it in the end but I was wondering if companies still allow you to work your way up the ladder (to a certain point obviously)?

The nhs do have a variety of roles that include on the job training which Could include attending a formal training qualification. This is what I did when I took a break from nursing and worked in radiography for nearly 8 years

have you thought about working for one of the telemedicine companies? I often see vacancies where you work from home offering a triage service to clients over the phone. You need access to a phone, laptop and reliable internet. I think VetFone is one of the companies, but the are others too.

What about Idexx? Depends where you are located but lots of my VN mates have ended up working there. I'm in Yorkshire...
