somebody I went to school with is a high grade human nurse - we chat sometimes and compare notes- she was saying that she can order bloods etc etc on a patient and she couldn't quite grasp that veterinary nurses run bloods assist in xrays, monitor anaesthetics, do the whole patient care bit and then for light relief we do a bit of reception and get to manage the mop

the one that everybody misses - the chances are that the nurse will spend more time getting to know your pet than the vet is able to (no disrespect to vets intended)

That we do the same type of work as human nurses do, and have qualifications in the same way they do. We're not just glorified pet wranglers!
