And another update ... God it does seem like painting the Forth Bridge sometimes. Just when we finish one end, the paint starts falling off the other. Anyway, as people have been using the new platform over on VetSurgeon, we've identified various issues which I really think need to be dealt with before we launch. Latest I hear is that with luck we might be done next week.

Or the week after.

It'll be worth the wait, though!

Latest update ... as with all these kind of projects, they always seem to take more time than expected. I think we've broken the back of the snags with the new platform, but there are still a few things we need to iron out, and it is also a question of when I can get developer time. But I think we are still a few weeks off. The good news is that in the meantime, I am getting my head around a lot of the new features, so when the new site arrives, it'll all be working very fast (whereas over on VetSurgeon.org, it is taking me a lot of time to get various things working even after the site has gone live ... )

Happy New Year everyone, and the latest update is that the bugs and glitches with the new platform look like they are going to take a week or two to iron out, after which we'll be off to the races. Very exciting ...

Thank you both :) Latest update is that we’ve had a successful deployment of the new platform on VetSurgeon, and now ironing out the inevitable bugs and glitches. We’re on track for early in the New Year.

We went down for a few hours yesterday, whilst we deployed the upgrade to vetsurgeon.org. Now working through a snaglist and configuring. Then once we're happy with it all, vetnurse will be ready to go. It'll be early in the new year by the looks of things!

Well, yes, that's another thing since you mention it, which is that I don't want to be 'friends' with professional acquaintances on Facebook, and share photos of my children, or me with a hangover, or whatever!

And I'm so chuffed to hear that. These forums were really the big thing for banter in years gone by, and most of that has moved to Facebook. But the profession has grown up a lot since I first set this site up, and this latest upgrade reflects that. It's going to be much more of a professional tool, but with a fun element to it all!

It's my leisure time and I'm not at work...

so! I'm very happy that you are doing all of this, have dipped in and our of these forums for years and I do find them incredibly useful :)
