I agree with PRP having been part of such schemes in many jobs I've had in the past. That said, it needs to be an OBJECTIVE performance measurement and not subjective. Plus it needs to be pro-rated and fairly applied so it isn't weighted against anyone who can't deliver (as opposed to won't deliver) due to their role dynamic.

Yes?

RE: Ivc

This ties in quite nicely with the other thread where we were discussing pay.

I guess you are a little bit tied in terms of confidentiality, but do you feel your targets are reasonable and what are you doing to try and achieve them?

Busy doesn't always equal making loads of money if you are doing lots of low profit work.

At the very least you know what you need to aim for either as an individual or as a team. Really the fairest possible way of paying people is based on their performance in the business.

RE: Ivc

Thanks guys , that’s about what we getting so far, just frustrating as we are busier now than ever and told targets not met which is a joke so still no pay rise!!! I have found working for a larger company generally means it's more professionally managed than some private practices and has proper protocols in place for work related issues, progression etc. They provide a cpd allowance of £500 a year I think? We also do a lot of in house training which means I'm easily meeting my cpd requirements. We get an extra day holiday for our birthday and also extra days depending on how long we have worked there. You're entitled to 2 days off paid for cpd days. There are structured programs in place for people who want to advance their skills and lead upto head nurse/practice manager.

In terms of pay rises it is in relation to targets being met and then the clinical director/practice manager decide who should benefit from the pay pot available. The only negatives tbh are the changing lists of approved drugs.

RE: Ivc

Been IVC for four years.
