Im thinking about changing from working nights back to days as I'm struggling working nights now as can't sleep during the day anymore. I've been on nights for 5 years now.
Has anyone else done this and if so how did it go? I'm worried that as

RE: Changing from nights to days

I've just come off nights at the end of August after 18months on them. I would do 3 consecutive nights (13hours, 14 hours then 16 hours) and then have 4 days off so different to your pattern.

My sleeping pattern has adjusted very quickly, but i miss my time off a lot (now only 2 days off a week) and it's a lot more hectic through the day with a lot more people around compared to when I was on nights. I definitely do feel like I'm always at work, as I now have to go to work 5 times a week instead of 3. I have also taken a massive pay drop coming back to days as I was paid more an hour on nights.

My reason for coming off was to go to college to qualify and I feel it was the best decision for my training, however I already know I will go back to them once Ive qualified
