Just wondered how many more on here were taught by her at Myerscough? She must have taught hundreds of vet nurses over the years. I was the first nurse at the practice to be sent out for training

RE: Lorraine Allan

yes it was near the police equine and dog unit. I was on block release 2 weeks 3 times a year room 17 New Hostel with the dodgy radiator right next to the bathroom and toilet - how could I forget it it was like living in Piccadilly Circus. Yes she could definitely get a class interested. My lasting memory of the practical exam was Mrs Allan looking skywards and trying not to laugh when I tried , and failed to cannulate the drip line on the fake leg and asked if I 'could have another cannula because I seem to have buggered this one up'- sometimes I used to wish I had done my first year there too. But then I wouldn't have come across Jilly Pearson at Milton who got me interested in exotics (another brilliant teacher)

RE: Lorraine Allan

I was taught by Lorraine at Myerscough. I loved the way she engaged the class . She was great at explaining things.I went on day release 3 times a year for 2weeks at Long Hutton I think. (was near the police equine unit). I drove everyday from North Cheshire with the threat of pass or else.We paid for our own training until we passed so made sure we did to get reimbursed. My very strong memory of her was at my OSCE's .I was taken to radiography only to meet another candidate. She went absolutely bonkers at the other teacher for letting two students come into contact. We had to face the wall until someone came to escort the other girl to her next station!!!
