I have my college place, all the paperwork is on its wy, and enrolment is end of AUgust, and induction mid september and then the start of the course!!

Job starts 2nd July, and enrolment with the RCVS sometime towards end of July I hope.

I'm now starting to believe my dream is coming true.

No, I dont think they have. Theres a lovely hotel just along from me called The Drumossie Hotel, its used for conferences all the time, if you google it you could have a look x

Has the Travel Inn got conference facilities? I've found I get the best deals when I go for independant hotels rather than chains.

Am in Inverness but Thurso is about 120 miles from here! You cant really get any further or you fall off Scotland

Scotlass - usually you find that the places on a VN course as so scarce that the people that are on them are willing to learn & aren't disruptive - you're all in the same boat!! Which college are you going to? Telford or Barony (of even Thurso if you're up that far)

I am a bit concerned about disruption etc.. as I am block release it means i will be away from home for 2 weeks at a time, and I dont want it to be a waste of time because of disruptive students! I have already voiced this to the course lecturer. My time is precious as I am married with 2 kids and I really really want to learn while i am away. hopefully it will be ok

I can beat that : I will start in September and I am 47.....

I last went to college in 2004-2006 to do my HND in Animal Management, and the youngest were 17 and the oldest 28...most were really nice but a couple of the younger ones really acted their age and didn't bother turning up, or doing the work, and tried to disrupt all the lessons, which I found really annoying as I had to concentrate hard to stir up the "old grey matter".

Im starting college this september. Yikes. Waiting for my application forms to get it all sorted! I havent sat in a lecture room for over 2 years. Gonna be very wierd.
