Exactly this! I deliberately avoid ordering from companies that give free Freddos/Creme Eggs etc - yuck!!

Thermometers for me - ideally ones that read very quickly. Ones that take ages to read end up shoved at he back of a cupboard!

Personally love the idea of a tree being planted or an animal benefitting rather than something useless or in fact pens. (Controversial I know but I am fussy about my pens and buy my own )

Love this idea; or to go towards a "pay it forward" type of fund for wildlife treatment in the clinic.

Samples of micropore so I can convince my practice to use that instead of the horrible sticky plaster stuff for taping up catheters! Food samples - for exotics as well as dogs/cats; thermometers; tape measures for weight clinics; nail clippers as our cat ones are always going missing. little books on clinical topics like the Millpledge bandaging and fluid therapy ones - great for students or for when you do so little bandaging that you get rusty.

I would definitely say all of the above! Small pocket sized booklets, pens (obviously), stress balls , chocolate is always helpfuL, water bottles or mugs maybe?

Something that we can use in everyday practice, notepads or instruments, non spill coffee cups.

I agree with earlier post they're is so much wastage these days--we got sent a load of free yo-yos...

I like things like (decent) thermometers....I still have one I got from a bsava about 7/8 years ago it must be now its lost its beep but still works well. again decent fob watches always go down well, refillable pocket sized hand sanitiser.

notebooks not so much I generally have tonnes floating round

Thanks for your reply Ben.

That was the aim of this post, really - we like to provide our members with loyalty gifts and items which will make their lives easier in practice, but we are also very conscious of adding to landfill with non-recyclables and single-use plastics.

I will definitely check out the website and see what ideas I can get. Thanks again!

There is a growing audience conscious of the impact some 'freebies' have, this (https://www.facebook.com/LearningWithoutLandfill/) is a good resource to give you an idea. Lots of freebies are good in principle, but so much of it is waste, just have a scroll back through the Learning without Landfill threads for inspiration on what has been well received.

I quite liked getting Wild Flower seeds from Idexx.
