[/quote]Yes me! Being an introvert I need time to switch off for 20min to be able to cope with the rest of the day. I tend to find any lunch & learns I have done in the past take about an hour but only really have about 10mins of useful info (the rest is just faffing) so I would much rather just be given a data-sheet/hand-out to read myself.

Yes this one has been hounding me for months. We don't use their products, are unlikely to be ever using their products, because we don't like making bulk orders and having stuff sitting on the shelf going out of date (it has happened twice it wont happen again) and the next member of staff that books them in to see me has been warned there is a very slim chance of them being around for their next birthday

The issue can be whether the practice is independent or corporate owned. Worth the reps while coming to see independent practices.

Don't discount doing things in house. Get someone to talk on their pet subject. Find the evidence to make a change or do something better. Update the team on some recently attended CPD.

We have 1-2 every month. Last one was from Lintbells and about the range of products (Yumove/Yucalm etc). Bayer will do flea/worm refreshers over a couple of meetings, Purina will also come in and do a talk on both veterinary and lifestage diets.

Just give your reps a call and they will gladly come in. Also it counts towards your cpd hours.

I had a very good one recently from the Ceva rep about feline hypertension and adaptil/feliway. Very informative and good food (which is obviously the most important aspect of lunch and learns)

Also our forte rep was good (cartrophen inj and dentisept)

Wow. You're lucky/unlucky. I've been head nurse at my practice for 4 months and am hounded by reps to do lunch and learns! Haha.

We've had 5 since I joined. All very good. Yes. Contact your reps and tell them your all pizzatarian. ;)

We really enjoyed nutravet. Depends on your practice.

When I organised them I contacted our reps - vaccines, flea treatment, worm treatment, anaesthesia, IVF, food..... Take a look at your pharmacy shelves!I always found them keen to come in! There was always a sales pitch included, but as HN I handled that after the rest of the staff had gone back to work!

Maybe ask your vets/nurses what they would like to learn about?

If anyone on the team is a BSAVA or BVNA member you could screen one of the webinar lunch and learns?
