Leanne Murphy - yeah, you're right, that word is a bit dated ... from the early years of the internet. Note to self to change it to 'photo' when next upgrade comes around.

Great thank you, I followed your instructions and managed to add a profile picture, I think it was the 'Change Avatar' that confused me! Thanks

Hi Leanne Murphy

To add a photo, click 'edit profile' or 'view/edit profile'. Then run your mouse over where the photo goes (or anywhere in that upper chunk of info, actually), and to the right you should see an edit pen icon. Click that, and it opens the box for you to upload a photo.

It is not as obvious as it should be, and it is one of those things we will improve on the next major update of the site, which we're working on now.
