my advice - if you have any hobbies or skills, ie something that you get pleasure from see if you can make it pay. I dabble in antiques and collectibles, particularly books but also I have gathered a lot of contacts over the years and the knack of being in the right place at the right time for vintage spares (cars and aircraft). I'm not going to pretend it will make me millions but it pays the bills sometimes. Working full time has meant my counselling and therapy has taken a back seat but if I ever had to pack in nursing (and was very close just a month or so ago with health issues) I could probably keep the wolf from the door.

I was thinking about setting up my own pet business but not sure doing what exactly. Was thinking maybe pet sitting - anyone done this?

How did you get a job working for a lab? I love all the lab stuff and was thinking about going into that sort of career

I have a side earner with a trading company, 5-10% return a month confirmed over the past few months, banks can't even give people that a year.

Unfortunately I don't live anywhere near any of the insurance places or a lab so am limited in what I can do. With regards to becoming a rep this just isn't for me. I don't enjoy public speaking or even trying to sell stuff to people. I did contemplate going to uni to start a new career but the fees are ridiculous

I am in exactly the same predicament. I am shattered and feel like the time has come to hand over the the young enthusiastic ones.

I am thinking about becoming an insurance claims assessor so am just waiting for something to come up.

I left after being qualified a year and started working in a lab. Not for everyone but I work 8.30 til 5 get paid overtime and sick leave and they're super flexible with holiday. The work isn't as varied but I know I'll be trained to do more in the future too.

You could look at being a rep that's quite a common one too
