So I‘m doing that thing everyone tells you not to do - obsessing over all the tasks I have potentially failed from yesterday and wondering if anyone can put my mind at rest over any of it!

I know I failed tablet dispensing as I’m pretty

RE: Obsessing over OSCEs taken yesterday

No particular expertise other than helping a student do a lot of practice for the same exams.

I agree that if you didn't put the tablet number that would be a fail, but I can see you dropping into auto pilot mode and writing it anyway.

The guide I got for significance of a bubble was that it was insignificant if smaller than the tube internal diameter. Tiny bubbles should be fine. I also would expect an examiner to give you the benefit of doubt if you needed to run more fluid to waste to clear an obvious bubble, that's not the same as needlessly wasting fluid. I think you'll be ok.

If the urine didn't leave the bin you will be fine.

I would expect you to get away with a tiny drop of blood in the clay. If you took your finger off and dropped everywhere then no. The clay MUST be considered a contaminated environment as wiped blood tubes are pushed into it. Again I'd not be too worried.

Patient in correct lateral recumbancy an candidate tension check are on the mark scheme but not grey so critical fail points. The critical part is the examiner tension check. You've dropped a couple of marks but could still have passed this one, harder to call as you don't have an opinion on the tension.

Xray you have lost a couple of marks. Id rather you slipped them close to the cassette under the foam wedge. In real life that label isn't going to be readable. If you did everything else ok then you may well get away with it, but correct placement including necessary equipment is a grey fail point..... I'd call that as a fail.

I hope that has helped you feel better about things (you can fail 4 I believe and still pass), but I make you no promises. Fingers crossed for all of you OSCE candidates.
