not encouraging anybody to stockpile or panic buy as that will only add to the problem but Henry Schein have intubeaze in stock if its of use to anybody - I ordered 1 yesterday

We use Lignol which I think does have some adrenaline in - it's just what has always been used at this practice since I've been here - the vets usually use an insulin syringe with 0.1ml & squirt it over the larynx.

the one without adrenaline - good luck trying to find that one I cannot see it on Henry schein - I used to get it as lignavet. I can remember this happening in the early 90's. At the time we were using xylocaine spray in a blue bottle which we were told was too dangerous (its the carrier I seem to remember). I had already been in practice 10yrs by this time and had never seen a problem with a cat using xylocaine but we took the advice seriously and used lidocaine instead as intubeaze couldn't be had for love nor money- as you say a couple of drops on the arytenoid folds using an insulin syringe with the needle chopped off. I have seen cats react to lidocaine quite badly

Thanks. Think we're going to have to brave the lidocaine too!

I'm not sure which strength we have in stock but will have a look into it more
