Thank you Julie Ann! And its good to know its not impossible..Well done to you for getting back into practice! Im hoping to get some volunteering in with the PDSA then go from there - they MAY be able to mentor me through PSP .. I will definitely start by getting this book so thanks for the link! Must be cool working in Norway.. in both senses of the word! Different wildlife to see too I bet!

I have also been out of the loop for 11 years. I have ordered the newest book I could find

Aspinall's Complete Textbook of Veterinary Nursing

And hope to read the whole thing to refresh my memory.

My friend says that the best books now are BSAVA 5th edition Pink and Aspinals Anatomy. Hope this helps! They weren't in my budget as I just wanted an all round book.

I hadn't thought about apps, thank you for the idea.

I really like the VetCalc app (Android, but I think it's on iphone too). You may need to pay a few pounds for it. It includes Drug dose calculations, temperature conversions C and F. Fluid drip rates. Anaesthetic flow rates calculations, inactive pain score calculator. I find it a really useful app.
